NDGF to offer fewer deer tags across the state this fall

Statewide, the department will offer 109,950 licenses for this year’s firearms deer season, a drop of 6,825 from last year and the lowest since 2001. Randy Kreil, wildlife division chief for Game and Fish in Bismarck, said the decline results from lower deer numbers nearly everywhere in North Dakota except some prairie units in the southwestern part of the state.Word count: 692
