N.D. conferees agree on gambling tax cut for charities

North Dakota lawmakers have agreed on a tax cut for charities that run gambling operations to raise money. Negotiators from the state House and Senate settled Thursday on a bill that replaces several gambling taxes with a 1 percent flat tax rate on wagers.
