Franken visits EGF while touring Red River Valley flood fight

Senator discussed Fargo-Moorhead diversion, work to advance retention projects to reduce river flows
After three consecutive years of major spring flooding, Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., said Minnesota communities in the Red River Valley are becoming experts at holding back raging flood waters. “That’s the advantage of having a flood every year, and I think it’s the only advantage,” he said.
