Lowered forecast for Red River crest in Grand Forks

The National Weather Service has lowered its forecast for a Red River crest by more than a half-foot. The latest Spring Flood Outlook indicates a 50 percent chance the Red should crest in Grand Forks at or above 50.4 feet. That compares with a forecast of 51.1 feet two weeks ago and 50 feet in early February.
