Devils Lake flood elevation forecast lowered slightly

The National Weather Service has slightly lowered its forecast record elevation for Devils Lake this year. The forecast, issued Thursday morning, now indicates a 50-percent chance the lake will rise to a record 1,454.8 feet above sea level. That’s down 0.2 feet from a Jan. 27 flood outlook, but an increase of 0.2 feet from a late December outlook of 1,454.6 feet.Word count: 298
