Great horned owl spends the night at GF Humane Society

It’s not out of the ordinary to find guinea pigs, rabbits and even ferrets waiting for a good home at Grand Forks’ Circle of Friends Humane Society, but one recent visitor to the shelter was a bit more unusual — even for workers who have dealt with almost every type of animal over the years. On Wednesday, the Grand Forks Police Department brought in a great horned owl that had been captured in a field west of the Park Manor Mobile Home Park.
