Devon Roehrich, Fargo, letter: Government can’t take what it never gave
Our national law was founded on the premise that we as human beings have inherent rights that were already in place before “government” was created, i.e., life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, etc. The Constitution is the “supreme law of the land,” the end-all reference point to all governmental decisions.Word count: 239
