Fishing report

Published 07/15/2010, Grand Forks Herald

Along the south shore, spinners and night crawlers or a jig and minnow are producing limits of walleyes and saugers and plenty of large fish in 26 to 32 feet of water. The bays along the south shore also are worth hitting for northern pike. At the Northwest Angle, the Massacre Island area in Ontario waters has been best for walleyes on crawlers. Muskies can be had on bucktails or crankbaits, and pike are hitting spoons around the islands, as well.
