In a secluded farmhouse outside this tiny northwestern Minnesota town, two sisters sit at their kitchen table and giggle as they draw pictures of horses and birds. It is pleasant routine for Kaylee, 10, who was born here, who has always known flowering meadows and docile animals and the reassuring rhythms of life and play in a large, loving family.
