OUR OPINION: High-school science formula turns out winners

Thanks to the program, Byram Hills High School — a traditional public, nonmagnet, nonspecialized school — since 1991 has had 69 semifinalists and 14 finalists in the Intel competition. The entire state of North Dakota has had four finalists since the competition began in 1942.
