Lest we forget, it was the first week of March when the Blizzard of 1966 moved stealthily into the Red River Valley. It lasted for days. It was compared with the killer March blizzard of 1941. And it brought back reminders from the weathermen of the “big snow” winters of 1888 and 1896.
