Too much snow to warm up, not enough heat to melt the snow
The wider Red River Valley is in that typical Catch-22 as spring approaches and everyone hopes for some warmth and some melting of the snowpack. It can’t get much warmer until the snowpack disappears, and the snowpack won’t disappear until it gets much warmer.
