Paul Telander, regional wildlife manager for the DNR in Bemidji, said crews collected nearly 1,500 samples for testing during the regular firearms deer season. He said one deer, a 3½-year-old buck, had enlarged lymph nodes and was flagged as suspect. Preliminary tests indicate the buck had bovine TB, Telander said, but results from final culture tests won’t be available until sometime next month.Word count: 504
