Wisconsin relocation utilizes birds from Glacial Ridge Project
The goal was to relocate as many as 40 prairie chicken hens annually during the course of the project, which began in 2006. Most of the birds relocated to Buena Vista Marsh in Wisconsin came from The Nature Conservancy’s 24,000-acre Glacial Ridge Project in Polk County.
