Kennedy visited Park River in 1960

Ted Kennedy, before he became a presidential candidate himself and the “liberal lion” of the U.S. Senate, campaigned in North Dakota for his brother, John F. Kennedy, only weeks before JFK was elected president Nov. 8, 1960. It remains a fond memory for those who met him at the time and mourn his death Tuesday.
