N.D. park managers say reservations up, but cold may keep some away
Park managers in North Dakota said reservations for the Memorial Day weekend are running high but cool temperatures could keep people at home. “One big difference over last year is the price of fuel. That was a major item for us last year,” said Henry Duray, manager of Graham’s Island State Park near Devils Lake. The number of out-of-state visitors to Graham’s Island, mainly anglers, dropped by 50 percent in 2008, Duray said. Many have come back.Word count: 548
