Lake of the Woods Four-Mile Bay, Morris Point Gap and outside the Lighthouse Gap have been best for walleyes in 8 to 12 feet of water. Anchored and jigging with a frozen shiner minnow has been the most productive technique. On windy days, many anglers have done well in the Rainy River with the same presentation in 6 to 8 feet of water. Fishing on the west side of the lake is improving, according to reports from local conservation officers.Word count: 555
