Minnesota-based Supervalu loses $201 million in 4th quarter

Supervalu Inc., one of the nation's largest grocery chains, said today that it lost $201 million in its fiscal fourth-quarter mostly because of costs related to store closings and a hefty impairment charge. Adjusted results managed to top analysts' estimates. Supervalu operates Albertsons, Save-A-Lot, Farm Fresh and other grocery chains.
