Good news for Valley City

It’s still likely to be a tense two weeks as the Sheyenne River remains at historic flood levels, but this flood-weary town got good news Wednesday: an advisory from hydrologists with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that the river may have crested earlier this week and probably won’t climb to the previously projected level of nearly 22 feet this weekend.Word count: 1046
