Drought remains a concern in midst of flooding

Officials from cities and rural water systems in the valley gathered Tuesday in Fargo to continue planning for a proposed $660 million project to divert Missouri River water to the valley. Planning and preparations continue even though the federal government hasn’t bestowed its final seal of approval – a document called a record of decision – and requires congressional authorization to use Missouri River water.
