NEW LIBRARY BOOKS: GF Public Library, EGF Campbell Library

Published 04/13/2009, Grand Forks Herald

GF Public Library -- “In I Walked the Line: My Life with Johnny,” by Vivian Cash with Ann Sharpsteen, Johnny Cash’s first wife gets a chance to tell her side of the story. But this is more than the usual memoir. The main part of the book is made up of letters of longing and love that Johnny wrote to Vivian while he was in Germany during his time in the service, from 1951-1954, along with intimate family photos of Johnny. After all Johnny and Vivian had gone through, Vivian still insisted at the end of her life that she still loved “the Man in Black”.
