WEATHER: Temps not above freezing today; chance of light freezing rain after midnight, Friday

Published 03/19/2009, Grand Forks Herald

'Potentially significant rainfall' possible Monday, Tuesday, weather service says
Temperatures around Grand Forks are expected to remain below freezing today, helping to stall the spring thaw. But look for a high around 46 degrees Friday. No hazardous weather is expected tonight through midnight, and even a chance of light freezing rain or rain after midnight into Friday - mainly along the Red River and east into Minnesota - is not expected to impact travel, the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks says. But a storm system will impact the region Monday and Tuesday, bringing "potentially significant rainfall," the weather service says.
