Senate panel says ‘do pass’ on human rights bill

A bill outlawing discrimination against North Dakotans based on their sexual orientation will go the Senate with a do-pass recommendation. The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 6-0 on Monday to give the favorable nod to Senate Bill 2278, which adds North Dakota’s gay men and lesbians to the protected classes in the state Human Rights Act.
