Bill proposes affordable housing fund

Low to middle-income singles and families’ wages aren’t keeping up with the increasing costs of renting or buying houses and apartments in North Dakota. Even the number of apartments that can be used for federally subsidized Housing Assistance Program, which can subsidize low-income residents’ rent, is dropping as the program being outpaced by rents that are too high to qualify.
