Dakota Wesleyan eyes athletes’ legal charges

After a string of legal trouble for Dakota Wesleyan University student-athletes during the last calendar year, Athletic Director Curt Hart is looking into changes in athletic policies and guidelines at the school. In 2011, the athletic department had at least 14 athletes charged with crimes related to drugs, alcohol or alleged burglaries. Hart said each situation is dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and the university is looking into ways to minimize criminal activity.
