Governor hails resumption of construction at Aberdeen plant

ABERDEEN — The resumption of construction at a multimillion-dollar beef processing plant outside of Aberdeen could have positive effects on the entire state, according to Gov. Mike Rounds.
Standing on a stage inside the future home of the Northern Beef Packers cattle processing plant, Rounds told approximately 80 people Tuesday that he is happy with the announcement that the oft-delayed construction of the $70 million plant will resume, especially considering plant owners expect the facility to process 390,000 head of cattle per year.
