Hundreds gather for annual Parade of Lights

Published 11/24/2009, The Daily Republic

No matter where people sat — a curb, a comfortable lawn chair or in the warmth of a vehicle — they enjoyed the dazzling sights and sounds of Christmas at the Parade of Lights on Monday evening in Mitchell.
Patzer Woodworking won the Best Overall award with its Santa’s Workshop float, which was decked out in lights, spiral lit trees, a sleigh and a North Pole sign. The float’s other half had a fireplace scene with a wreath over the mantle. Kids on the float wore costumes.
