City to consider alterations to proposed downtown shed

Published 10/22/2009, The Daily Republic

Mitchell city officials and historic preservationists met Wednesday at City Hall and discussed the possibility of adding brick facing to a proposed city shed at the southern end of the Historic Commercial District.
The proposed building, the design of which has been described as a finished pole barn, would be located just south of the Navin Apartments at the northwest end of a city-owned parking lot. The Department of Public Safety wants to store vehicles, trailers and confiscated items in the structure.
