Stickney meth lab used new technique

Published 10/08/2009, The Daily Republic

A meth lab bust two weeks ago by the Aurora County Sheriff’s Office and state Division of Criminal Investigation has led to the discovery of a new method being used in South Dakota to make the illegal street drug.
That method is called “shake and bake,” through which drug users take the ingredients to make meth and put them in a plastic pop bottle with a hole cut in the top to let out gases. They then shake the contents.
Once dry, the drug is cut for personal use or sales.
