To the Editor: I read over the past weekend how our state lawmakers are looking to raise more money for our road system. I was very troubled to read about their proposals to double license fees, increase the new vehicle tax and add a 10-cents-per-gallon state tax on fuel. I do not agree with any of these ideas. In fact, at this time in our nation, increasing taxes on the citizens of the state is an especially bad idea.
