Census: South Dakota's Hispanic population doubles

South Dakota's average age ticked up again from 2000 to 2008, its estimated Hispanic population almost doubled and Shannon County is listed in three national rankings, according to state and county population estimates by age, sex, race and Hispanic origin released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau.
