County receives grant to help at-risk, first-time moms

Though we all know babies don’t come with instruction manuals, some folks assume that raising an infant is something that just comes naturally to new parents. Studies have proven differently, however, and a new program of Carlton County Public Health is set to take the local lead in helping at-risk parents succeed during those first crucial months of a baby’s life.Word count: 867
