Horse racing, Carlton County Fair go hand in hand

Published 08/12/2011, Pine Journal

The next year, Barnum supporters won the debate and the venue moved to a 29-acre tract of land from Northern Pacific Railroad. Since that time, every other county fair in Minnesota that has offered horse racing has dropped it.
