Bombers break sixth-inning tie to defeat Cardinals

Published 05/12/2011, Pine Journal

Barnum won the game, but just barely. With the score tied, junior Karianna Duesler came screaming around the bases to score the game-winning run on an overthrow to first base, as the Bombers topped visiting Cromwell-Wright 10-9 Monday afternoon in Barnum. Duesler started the final play as a runner on first base following her leadoff walk. The next batter was sophomore Paige Rilea, whose sacrifice bunt was thrown over first to allow Duesler to come around for the walk-off Polar League victory.
