Nearly 3,000 rally against proposed gambling expansions

An hour-long rally against proposed gambling expansions at the Capitol last week attracted an estimated 3,000 American Indian tribal members and casino workers. Activists gathered in a cold rain last Tuesday, April 26, to protest bills that would allow Minnesota’s two horse-racing tracks to add casinos – called “racinos” – and to allow bars to install gambling devices.
