Black Woods Blizzard Tour raises money for ALS

More than 400 snowmobile riders and supporters turned out on Feb. 1 at Cirrus Aircraft in Hermantown for a banquet to celebrate the conclusion of the 15th annual Black Woods Blizzard Tour. The 230-mile snowmobile tour through Northeastern Minnesota is the world’s largest snowmobile ride for charity. The Blizzard Tour raised more than $760,000 this year, with all of the money benefiting treatment and research to find a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a degenerative neuromuscular disease. In all, the ride has raised more than $5 million for ALS treatment and research.
