Theater review: ‘Good People’ can really surprise you

As the lights dim right before the start of “Good People,” Flogging Molly’s “It’s Been the Worst Day Since Yesterday” plays, giving the opening night audience at the Underground on Thursday night a big clue that David Lindsay-Abaire’s play is going to start on a definite downbeat. Indeed, in the opening scene Margie Walsh is fired from her job as a cashier at a dollar store because she is always late for work.Word count: 595
