Wisconsin caterpillar outbreak uncertain

Brian Schwingle, forest health specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, said northern Wisconsin is due for a major outbreak of forest tent caterpillars. But he’s not predicting a major outbreak this year because last year’s defoliation was actually less than 2012.
