Curling: Duluth curlers split in Germany

After suffering a heartbreaking loss in the 10th end to Germany, John Shuster’s Team USA rink downed last-place Japan 8-2 on Thursday in Fuessen, Germany, to remain in the hunt for a berth in February’s Winter Olympics. Germany’s John Jahr rink rallied from a 7-5 deficit to score three points in the final end and beat the U.S. 8-7, putting the Americans’ Olympic hopes on the brink.
