Wisconsin DNR: No pollution permit needed for sampling at mine site

The company that wants to dig a massive iron ore mine in northern Wisconsin probably won’t need an air pollution permit for the bulk sampling operation that is to take place before actual mining begins, the state Department of Natural Resources said this week.
