Field reports: Hunting stand accidents are common, and the Wis. DNR has some safety tips

One in every three hunters who hunts from a tree stand will fall at some point in his or her hunting lifetime, according to a study cited by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Of those falls, 75 to 80 percent occur while the hunter is ascending or descending the tree.Word count: 427
