Our view: Ness correctly says politicians must commit to solutions

At a Chamber-sponsored luncheon yesterday at the Kitchi Gammi Club, Duluth Mayor Don Ness let loose about the “brokenness of Congress,” the “failure of leadership” in the federal government shutdown, how the “greatest threat to our country” is our “unwillingness to live within our means,” and the desperate need for “solutions-minded politics” as a replacement for what we have: polarized gridlock.
