Debating facts less important than saving the world

Browsing the News Tribune’s letters to the editor, I’ve noticed a pattern. Concerned citizens speak out against some of the main companies responsible for carbon pollution in Minnesota. However, other letters, like Sept. 15’s “Check coal facts before making claims,” seem to be written only to confuse readers in a circular discourse based on proving wrong previously stated facts.
