Field reports: Abuse leads Blandin to restrict ATV use on its lands

Grand Rapids-based UPM Blandin has announced restrictions on the use of ATV/OHVs on its lands effective this fall. ATV/OHV use will be allowed only on roads that are built and maintained by Blandin and only on trails that are marked with “Open” signs. All other trails and cross-country travel are closed to motorized access. Using ATVs to go cross-country for any reason, including accessing and putting up hunting stands, retrieving game or trapping is not allowed.
