Northland schools designate school forests

Five Northland schools have designated property adjacent to their schools as school forests through the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ school forest program. Those schools are: Lester Park Elementary in Duluth, Duluth East High School, Proctor Middle School, Proctor High School and Merritt Elementary School in Mountain Iron.
