Baby sturgeon provides proof of spawning in St. Louis River

For just the second time, biologists have found evidence that sturgeon are spawning successfully in the St. Louis River. On Tuesday night, fisheries crews with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the 1854 Treaty Authority found a single, tiny sturgeon that hatched from an egg this year, said Brian Borkholder, fisheries biologist with the Fond du Lac Band.Word count: 307
