Local view: Runners comprise a quiet, dedicated community

Runners can be spotted easily. If not by their spandex leggings, their GPS watches or their funky sock tan lines, any runner is recognizable by their legs. Not every runner has the sinewy build associated with long-distance running, but every runner has legs that are strong. Venturing in to Duluth’s go-to venues for runners, the Duluth Running Company or Austin-Jarrow, strong legs have been everywhere this week as Grandma’s Marathon approaches.
