High schools: Esko to break ground on facilities

A year ago today, Esko residents watched as the Midway River overflowed its banks, washing away the high school baseball field, flooding the hockey warming house and further damaging an already deteriorated football field. To mark that anniversary and begin work on a $2.7 million sports complex in Esko, community members are invited to gather — and bring a shovel — at 6 p.m. today for a ceremonial groundbreaking.Word count: 130
