Duluth prison escapees left footprints in snow

A prison count that came up two people short was the guards’ first clue that something was amiss last month at the minimum-security federal prison camp in Duluth. Outside, guards found that the fugitives’ trail had already gone cold: Footprints in the snow led over a fence, through a gate and across a road.Word count: 710
