Reader’s view: Snow is deep enough to be affecting moose

I was just curious whether DNR veterinarian Erika Butler or Grand Portage Band Biology and Environment Director Seth Moore have been in the woods recently? Or have they been calling in their reports from the Bahamas? They said in the March 18 News Tribune story, “Wolves taking toll on Minnesota moose,” that below-average snowfall and normal temperatures were not affecting moose and deer.Word count: 166
